CJK is proud to have served as the main electrical contractor for the development of a cutting-edge operating theatre at Beaumont Hospital. Collaborating closely with JM Stenson and IN2 Engineering, we successfully navigated the complexities of working in a live hospital environment, completing the project with minimal disruption to ongoing medical services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
The new 100m² hybrid theatre is a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with specialised anaesthetic and scrub areas, as well as an open-plan plant room on the first floor. CJK’s comprehensive scope of work included a wide range of essential services, from the installation of low-voltage (LV) systems and switchgear to the integration of advanced fire alarm systems, security solutions like access control and CCTV, intercom systems, and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) setups. Additionally, we handled the wiring for the Building Management System (BMS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and theatre control cabling, ensuring seamless operation of all critical systems.
A key feature of this Beaumont Hospital project was the installation of green anti-glare lighting, specifically designed to help surgeons view screens during critical procedures.
We extend our gratitude to our dedicated team and partners for their expertise, collaboration, and hard work in bringing this state-of-the-art facility to life. This project stands as a testament to CJK’s capability to deliver complex, high-stakes projects with precision and excellence.
