Our actions are powerful and together we can make a difference in creating a more sustainable future. We believe that we each have a role to play in contributing to the sustainable development of our planet and wherever possible, we choose and promote options that are less wasteful and more environmentally friendly.
We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and contributing to a sustainable future. As part of this commitment, we recently invested in a new sustainable workwear range that is not only comfortable and stylish but also environmentally friendly. Our workwear is made with certified organic cotton and recycled polyester, making it one of the most sustainable ranges available in the market today.
Our sustainable workwear range is just one example of our efforts to prioritize sustainability in all aspects of our business operations.
As part of our aim to become more environmentally friendly as a company, our contract managers switched to electric vehicles in 2019. We now have a fleet of electrical vehicles, including our Twizy, and plan to expand this over the next few years.
We are actively committed to improving sustainable outcomes across the built environment, having previously been involved in many LEED and BREEAM certification projects. We also have a deep understanding of The WELL™ Building Standard and LEED as sustainable construction certification frameworks for improving energy, commissioning and performance ratings in the built environment.
We provide separate recycling bins across our sites, offices, kitchens and other facilities, and take special care to ensure that components like ink cartridges, circuit boards and other electronic equipment are properly recycled. Whenever possible, we also use reusable and rechargeable technologies that help reduce unnecessary waste. In the office, we promote digital documents over paper ones, while any paper waste can placed in easily accessible paper recycling bins.
As part of our commitment to the community around us, we actively support organisations that help people recover, grow and experience a better life.
Making the right choices is embedded through our operations and supported with a robust governance framework. This framework is supported by a range of policies and procedures that seeks to ensure we maintain high standards of corporate governance and business conduct.
We believe that the promotion and observance of strong and effective corporate governance is key to cultivating a culture of integrity and transparency, leading to positive performance and a sustainable business overall.
CJK is a proud Charity Partner of Coolmine Therapeutic Community.
