CJK recently attended the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the Plant Control System panels for a current electrical project. The electrical and control distribution system will be included in the overall E&I CJK package.
The pack consists of 135 panels & cabinets ranging from 3150A MV Switchgear, 5000A LV Switchgear to UPS supplied Control Cabinets. The power plants / engines instruments were simulated using Digital Input boxes connected to the terminals within the panel. The SCADA / PCS System was able to monitor each device and its input as it will when the plant is in operation. Any fault / alarm was visible on the Central Control Panel and operators SCADA system. This was a great example of the extent of programming, simulating, and testing required for a Power Plant Control System.
