CJK delivered the complete electrical upgrade to the Jameson Distillery Visitor Centre on Bow Street, Dublin 7. The building is 48,000 sq.ft and the project was completed in 23 weeks. This was a listed building and a tight programme that was handed over on time and within budget.
The works included the refurbishment of the existing visitor experience comprising the removal of the existing 1990’s exhibition and back of house fit-out elements including internal linings and finishes, fixed seating, bar & kitchen areas, sanitaryware, partitions, joinery, fixtures and fittings. CJK were responsible for the repair, upgrade and replacement of existing obsolete electrical services.
This was a complex project due to the protected structure and listed building status meaning that specialist display lighting and AV packages had to be used in certain areas. The site is located in the city centre with an adjoining apartment complex which meant that deliveries had to be planned for mid to late morning so as to not disturb neighbours.
